Valspar
It’s time for the much-anticipated announcement of Valspar’s 2025 Color of the Year. This year marks the paint company’s 16th Color of the Year pick, a bold, captivating shade appropriately titled Encore. The Valspar 2024 Color of the Year selection was a relaxing shade called Renew Blue; for 2025, Valspar is going in a moodier direction.
Encore is a deep, striking blue. Its versatility can span any season (and any paint design you have in mind). It was designed to be a shade that can keep up with the favorite trends of recent designers and DIYers, yet pair well with timeless decor techniques: Encore is good for everything from color drenching to heritage home revivals.

This Color of the Year 2025 from Valspar is playful, joyous, and perfect for any aesthetic, whether you want to add a flair of maximalism or enjoy a regal accent wall. Versatility is more than just the name of the game this year at Valspar: This year’s Color of the Year rollout is entirely unique in that almost every Valspar paint product can be tinted in an Encore hue. This means that you have more room to experiment with Encore, designing a space that’s perfectly unique to you.
While last year’s pick, Renew Blue, felt contemporary, Encore is a return to the past in the best way, with a traditional feel.
“Encore is a color for any space or application,” Sue Kim, director of color marketing at Valspar, said in a press release. “Its atmospheric deep blue tones emulate both the elusive luxury of Old World design and the futuristic blending of our physical and digital world, making it a color that feels familiar and unexpected at the same time.”

Florida’s climate is one of its most important assets. Nicknamed the “Sunshine State,” Florida boasts a humid subtropical climate in the north and central sections along with a tropical climate throughout a majority of the south. The state's native plants are already well suited for its climate and soil conditions, so they can usually thrive without additional irrigation or fertilization.
