The Magnolia Silos Plant Shop Is Being Replaced

Everyone's favorite design duo and co-founders of Magnolia, Chip and Joanna Gaines, have something new in store for their fans—literally: The Magnolia Silos are getting a new store, but this new installation means customers will have to say goodbye to a much-loved shop.

If you’re not familiar, the Silos are Magnolia’s own street of boutiques in Waco, Texas. Joanna has said she pulled inspiration from New York City brick-and-mortars to create a cute and stylish row of six different shops that sell all things Magnolia, from furniture to cupcakes. With this latest update, the Silos will get a fresh display for a beautiful new line of home decor products, but it does come at the expense of one of the market's classic shops.

While it's not uncommon to see a store's name and product selection change from time to time, there's a major, seemingly permanent revamp going on right now: Magnolia has removed its beloved plant shop, Ferny’s: The Retro Plant Shop, and replaced it with an all-new interior design experience. Named the Art of Entertaining, this addition offers up everything you need to create the perfect tablescape, with dozens of items to transform your dining room into the ideal hosting spot.

While this is an exciting endeavor, you may be wondering: What’s to become of Ferny’s? Though you might still see some pop-ups in the future, the owner (Joanna’s younger sister, Mikey) posted on social media earlier this year that she wanted to focus more on her family. This gave Chip and Jo the opportunity to expand their home decor offerings with the Art of Entertaining. Fortunately, you’ll still be able to find a few Ferny’s products at other Magnolia shops.
