You may have thought you were set with Starbucks’s fall drink menu—what more could you want than its Apple Crisp Macchiato and Pumpkin Cream Chai? But it turns out you have a brand new creation to try out this year: The Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte takes everything there is to love about fall and combines it in a sweet, rich, and delightfully autumnal drink.
Patrick Penny, Starbucks’s lead beverage developer, said in a statement that the flavors were inspired by his grandmother’s very own homemade pecan pie. Originally, the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte was meant to be included in Starbucks’s holiday menu lineup. Thanks to them, you're lucky enough to enjoy the drink throughout autumn.
So, what’s in the warmly-flavored fall beverage? It's crafted with Starbucks’s original Blonde Espresso and rich, pecan-pie-inspired pecan syrup, layered with notes of pecan, brown butter, and spices.
The hot version of the drink is topped with Starbucks’s new Pecan Crunch, while the iced version features nondairy Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam along with the crunchy pecan pieces. If the infamous Chestnut Praline drink topping is anything to go by, we already know this addition has the power to turn the drink into an all-time favorite.
The basic version of the Latte comes with Oatmilk, so it's completely nondairy—but you can always customize the milk options to match whatever you're craving.
