Wendy's just posted a deliciously exciting announcement to its Instagram, and it has everyone screaming for ice cream. The photo shows the top of an overfilled Frosty cup featuring the little swirl Wendy's is so famous for—and what's exciting about that, you ask? The flavor is vanilla.
«We are so back,» the caption reads.
After an eight-month hiatus, Wendy's is bringing back the Vanilla Frosty for a limited time—and fans are elated. «FINALLY, OMG, THANK YOU WENDY’S,» one ice cream enthusiast commented. «Keep the vanilla frosty alive forever,» another wrote.
On Reddit, customers are constantly begging for its return.
«My favorite thing at Wendy’s is to buy a vanilla frosty and fries, but it seems like there is no vanilla flavor anymore. Are they ever bringing it back?» one user longingly wrote in the Wendy's Subreddit three months ago.
The only Frosty Wendy's offers all round is chocolate, much to the dismay of vanilla lovers. But they finally got what they wanted—for now.
«Vanilla Frosty is officially back from her Frosty Time away,» it says on Wendy's site. «Vanilla Frosty may be back from vacay now, but who knows when she may take off next once a seasonal flavor comes back in town. Frosty fanatics, get it while you can!»
The Frosty has been on Wendy's menu for over half a century, featuring different flavors depending on the season—from Pumpkin in the fall to Orange Dreamsicle in the Spring. We just bid adieu to the Triple Berry Frosty, which taste testers deemed an overall delectable addition.
As you likely know, the Frosty isn't exactly ice cream—but it's not not ice cream. It's somewhere between a milkshake and soft-serve, perfect
