It's unfortunate that some of the grocer's best snacks and desserts don't stick around all year, but with September just around the corner, shoppers have a lot to look forward to—and they've been on the hunt to see if any of their favorites are back yet.
This week proved triumphant for fans of Trader Joe’s fall harvest: Apple cider donuts are officially making their way to the stores. You can only indulge in the seasonal pastries through autumn, but we’re seeing them leading the lineup this year with a late-summer release.
In the Trader Joe's Reddit thread, a user posted a photo of their box on August 15, writing: «Mid August seems early for apple cider donuts but I couldn’t resist when I saw them at my store today. Can’t wait for other apple products to hit the shelf!»
For anyone who isn’t lucky enough to live near an orchard that offers fresh apple cider donuts, the Trader Joe’s version will definitely satisfy any cravings. Many agree that the best move is to purchase them in bulk and freeze them so you don't have to worry about them drying out.
Social media also has the best tips for prepping the sweets: Toss them in the air fryer for just a minute or two to make them more moist. Plus, you get to enjoy them hot—just like you would at an apple stand.
