With fall just around the corner, home decor and fashion trends are taking a turn toward the cozy and comfortable. It’s all about warmth, joy, and luxurious comfort this season—and now there’s a new way to bring some extra coziness into your home. Bedding and bath essentials company Parachute is bringing its trademark organic color palette to a brand new set of slippers—but these slippers aren’t your run-of-the-mill at-home footwear. No, these specific slippers—the Zermatt Premium Slippers—were made in partnership with the iconic Birkenstock footwear brand.
“Parachute’s mission is to make your world more comfortable,” Ariel Kaye, Parachute’s founder, tells Better Homes & Gardens. “Since the very beginning, our premium quality products have been designed to be the most cozy and comfortable because we believe that comfort at home impacts every aspect of your life. The Birkenstock and Parachute brands focus on lasting products that are both aesthetically beautiful and long lasting.”
The Zermatt Premium Slippers, an existing line from Birkenstock, are lined with shearling for a supremely luxurious insole. You’ll also find a flexible EVA outer sole on the slipper, so you can enjoy wearing the slipper inside or out with plenty of support (we’d expect nothing less from Birkenstock).
But what makes this latest slipper release special is the color. For the partnership, Parachute contributed a new-to-Birkenstock shade: the pleasant green Agave. “Agave is a fashion-forward neutral,” Kaye says. “Together with the Birkenstock team we loved the idea of bringing a pop of color that is calming and grounding.”

Looking for something unusual to grow in the garden? Look no further than chocolate cosmos, a tuberous perennial with velvety blooms and a decadent fragrance. With showy wine-red blossoms that perfume the garden with the distinctive aromas of chocolate and vanilla from mid-summer through fall, chocolate cosmos entices butterflies and curious gardeners alike. The blooms make fragrant cutting for the vase and plants perform beautifully in containers, where their scent can be enjoyed on patios and balconies.
