Finding a rug that fits your space, aesthetic, color palette, and budget can feel like one of the most intimidating decor endeavors. But when you find the right piece that ties complements your curtains and soft wood of your console table, it's like a match made in heaven—or maybe even a match made by the Queen herself. Dearest readers, Lady Whistledown has a new announcement to make, and this one is all about interior design (not the latest scandal in the Ton).
On February 27, Ruggable is launching a new Modern Regency collection featuring five opulent styles designed in partnership with Netflix’s beloved series, Bridgerton (which returns with Season 3, Part 1, on May 16), and featuring motifs inspired by the show.(Ruggable has also created six modern regency designs to complement the Bridgerton styles.) As you’d expect, the styles are named to emphasize the Bridgerton connection, with labels like Sophia, Royal Garden, Provence Toile, Night of Enchantment, Lady Whistledown, and House of Bridgerton.
Sophia comes in a light beige and features a simple, elegant pattern you would see embroidered on the dresses of Bridgerton characters. If you’re drawn to florals, Royal Garden and Lady Whistledown offer soft, pastel designs blooming with a flower pattern. Make a statement with the bold, colorful prints in Night of Enchantment, or create a classic aesthetic with the soft-toned hues in the House of Bridgerton rug.

“As longtime fans of the Bridgerton series, we’re excited to create a collection that embodies the dreamy, opulent aesthetic of the Regency era, and bring it to the modern home,” said Emily Simmons, creative director of Ruggable, in a statement. “Following Bridgerton, we’re continually in awe of the

Sowing a seed directly into the ground, nurturing it, and reaping the rewards is one of the easiest gardening activities you can do—yet many gardeners don’t. There are many reasons to direct sow. Often, you’ll have earlier harvests because the seeds will germinate when it’s the perfect time to grow, and stronger seedlings because transplant shock isn’t an issue. Planting seeds in general (instead of buying transplants) gives you more varietal options, and you can also save a lot of money (1 packet of 30 to 150 seeds often costs less than a 6-pack of plants). And then there is the personal satisfaction factor. Ask any child who has planted a sunflower seed how they feel when that flower towers over their head, and you’ll understand what I mean.

Zinnia flowers are some of the most beautiful, vibrant, and captivating blooms around. They’re bold. They’re cheerful. They’re resilient. They add bursts of color to any garden or landscape and come in various shapes, sizes, and colors from reds, oranges, and pinks to yellows and whites—and their double-layered petals are exceptional. Plus, they attract important pollinators like butterflies and bees.
Common juniper (Juniperus communis) is one of only three conifers native to the UK. It’s a member of the cypress family and grows on chalk or limestone in lowland areas, and moors, woodland and cliffs in northern Britain. Juniper is in decline in wild populations and has been designated a UK Biodiversity Action Plan priority species. This special tree has disappeared from several areas in the south of England. Many remaining colonies are so small that they’re considered functionally extinct. Scotland is now the stronghold for 80 per cent of the UK’s juniper trees.

IKEA is a home goods retailer that knows how to help people revamp their spaces. There’s pretty much no aesthetic that IKEA pieces can’t create, and the retailer has been significantly expanding their stock (and lowering their prices) over the past year. Their latest collection was announced on February 28th, with IKEA preparing to officially release it in April.
