Proctor & Gamble announced a recall on April 5 of 8.2 million bags of Tide Pods, Gain Flings, Ace Pods, and Ariel Pods sold in stores across the U.S. The outer packaging, meant to prevent access to the contents, has been splitting open near the zipper track and causing a potentially-dangerous hazard.
Children and other vulnerable demographics are at risk of serious injury if the contents of the laundry detergent packets are ingested and a risk of skin or eye injuries to everyone. Ingestion of a large quantity of any household cleaning products can cause death among individuals with underlying health issues.
This recall involves certain lot codes of Tide Pods, Gain Flings, Ace Pods, and Ariel Pods liquid laundry detergent packets packaged in flexible film bags, manufactured between September 2023 and February 2024. Double check yours if you bought bags at Big Lots, CVS, Family Dollar, Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Target, Walmart, another major store nationwide, or online at Amazon and other websites from September 2023 through now.
Recalled bags range from bags with 12 to 39 laundry detergent packets and include the following specific products:

At this time there are no known injuries related to the defective bags or ingestion of detergent. For more details, contact Procter &

Cucurbit downy mildew was found in the state this past week on cucumbers in Charleston. All commercial cucurbit growers need to be on the lookout and start preventative fungicide applications, if not already started.
There are certain points of contention in interior design: maximalist or minimalist, vintage or new, carpet or hardwood floors? Another question that seems to garner polarizing opinions: if headboards are really needed in the bedroom.
