Rather than grumble about the final days of summer, we’ve decided to embrace it. Consider us officially all-in on cozy aesthetics and autumnal color palettes.
But with the early rise of seasonal decor, it also feels like we’re spoiled for choice more than ever before. So, where to begin?
We turned to a few design pros to find out what they love about Halloween decor, which trends they're eyeing this year, and how they’re decorating their haunted houses.

While we've seen a few years of kitschy, nostalgic decor, interior designer and creative director Ashley Stark of Ashley Stark Home loves the mix of whimsical pieces with more sophisticated decor this year.
“I love decorating with subtle, chic decor that hints at the season without coming off too kitschy,” she says.
If you’re unsure where a piece falls on the scale of whimsical to kitschy, Stark says to opt for high-quality materials. A charming, vintage piece will be much more on-trend than brand-new black and orange decor.
This is such a fun holiday to decorate for, and there are so many options for everyone’s preferences.

If you want to lean into the full spirit of the season, Stark says she’s predicting we'll see a definite rise of «scary chic» this year. Think dark, moody flowers, elegant skull accents, and bat silhouettes.
