My name is Helen Stephenson, and I have been gardening in the Halton Region of Ontario for over 20 years. For the past 10 years I have tried to plant mostly native species. I am on the northern edge of the Carolinian eco-region, which is an area that makes up just 1% of Canada’s total land area but contains more flora and fauna species than any other ecosystem in Canada. I believe it is my duty to preserve this little bit of heaven on earth!

My name is DeBorrah Tibbs. I live in the hot Georgia Peach state in Smyrna. Gardening is my passion and is ever changing. I have gardened most of my life, growing up in a little town called Andover, Ohio, while living on a farm growing sustenance. As I got out on my own, flowers and shrubs became my main focus and passion. What I’d like to share is my before and after garden transformation. I took a bland backyard to what I now call my garden sanctuary. This has been a six-and-a-half-year journey that I think inspired me to started my own YouTube channel, Inspiring Garden Korner, in December 2022.

I don’t have to tell you that some people are terrified of spiders. I chalk it up to fear of the unknown. Like snakes, the best way to lose your fear is by learning about them and how to identify them. All spiders have venom, but the majority are not inclined to bite, and if they bite, most species cause no serious injury.

It recently came into news and attracted the attention of environmentalists and biologists. According to the Fox News–“In brief, the sap prevents your skin from protecting itself from sunlight, which leads to a very bad sunburn.”

I like to think of myself as someone who loves all redbuds equally. There’s something magical to find in each and every one.But, of course, were I forced to pick a few favorites lest I be banned
