It's pretty much impossible to go wrong with candy for Valentine’s Day. It’s an obvious classic—we've been giving out candy hearts that read “Be mine” or “Yours” since elementary school. But one TikTok video featuring a variety of Valentine’s Day-themed candy takes it past the traditional.
Creator @jillian.pickard shared a video of herself creating “the BIGGEST Valentine’s candy salad," in which she tosses over a dozen pink, red, white, and otherwise love-themed candies onto a counter before unwrapping each bag and combining them. Since being posted on January 13, it's gotten nearly 31,000 likes and almost 580,000 views.
If you want to recreate the exact recipe for yourself, stock up on these candies:
@jillian.pickard said in the comments that she got her candy at Target and Walmart for around $40.
She mixed it all together in a clear dish with a very on-theme heart spatula, resulting in a colorful, heart-filled Valentine’s candy salad. And because she stored the salad in an air-tight container, she says the candy won’t go stale—so you can enjoy it through the holiday.
While this particular combination of themed candies looks undeniably adorable together, you can always grab your favorites. One user commented that their “toxic trait” is that they'd have to make their candy salad with a complementary color scheme—pastels with pastels, only primary colors, or strictly red, white, and pink. “My toxic trait is I’d eat all this in one sitting, or at least half," another wrote.
If you decide to throw together your own, you can use it as centerpiece on a Valentine's Day display, give it as a gift to your loved ones, or just enjoy it for yourself. Just remember, it's no one's business how quickly you finish it
