Pantone's 2024 Color of the Year selection celebrates its 25th anniversary this year—and the party is just peachy. Pantone has created Peach Fuzz, a shade that's gentle yet powerful and already stirring up a lot of buzz.
Aptly named Peach Fuzz, the hue blends light pinks and oranges for a warm, romantic result. Designed to add radiance and soft color to any space, the potential for color palette combinations along with all the ways to incorporate it into your home, Peach Fuzz is here to add a much-needed cheerful splash of color to 2024.
To make their decision, Pantone’s design team takes a look at the trendiest, most influential colors that appeared throughout the past year. (2023 gave us Viva Magenta, and in 2022 we got Very Peri.) Laurie Pressman, vice president at Pantone, noted the process is ongoing throughout the year leading up to its release.
“It is one long, continuously flowing conversation among a group of color-attuned people,” said Pressman in an interview on Pantone’s official website. The team of color designers carefully considers each detail, from how the shade will look in different finishes to color psychology that helps them understand the mood their Color of the Year will produce.

In the case of Peach Fuzz, the shade intends to feel nurturing. It's designed to reflect the trends that spark well-being and mindfulness—inner healing, discovery, and refocusing on what matters most. This makes it an ideally comforting color, perfect for a tranquil bedroom, warm living space, or even an inspiring home gym.
“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance," said Leatrice Wiseman, executive director at
