Many Lilies tend to deteriorate after having been in the garden for a few years, not the orientals, they are in fact long lived and known to get more robust and even multiply after a few years. Important update—- Just received information from my friend and gardening guru from Wisconsin USA, he may object to me saying this but don’t listen. If you want information on Lilies, he is the man — Larry Art Glass and Gardens In his experience the hardiest and the ones which get stronger are the Orienpet Lilies, known as Tree lilies in the UK. These are available in the UK from,Thompson and Morgan. The confusion with my Tiger Woods Lily today is, some sellers are listing it as an Oriental whilst others have it as a Tree Lily.
