That often leaves the guest bath as a second fiddle. You might paint it, add some cool fixtures, put in some fluffy towels, display some fancy soap on the counter, but most homeowners might not put too much thought into the design. Well, today’s room tour feature might make you rethink that.

Located in a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home in the Lake Street neighborhood of San Francisco, this guest bathroom is a real stunner. And it wasn’t a total fixer-upper originally—it had been renovated recently by the previous homeowners and featured nice fixtures, marble tile floors and shower walls, and a modern new tub. These beetles emerge from the soil in spring or early summer, earning the common name of May or June bugs. “June bugs are a type of scarab beetle, with several species found in the Southeast,” says Shimat V. Joseph, PhD, associate professor of turfgrass and ornamentals, department of entomology, at theUniversity of Georgia. “They release pheromones for mating so you’ll typically see them congregating on the side of a building, often near a light.”

On top of that, it doesn’t really look homey or comfy. And all of that’s okay, because the house is for a doll and make-believe moments. What’s a human who wants to live out their Barbie fantasies to do?
