There’s a reason hardwood floors are a permanent staple in the design world. Ashley Biscan, an interior design and trend expert for Floor & Decor, calls them the ultimate luxury—and there's no denying that a great hardwood floor instantly elevates any space.
“Wire-brushed and matte-finished oak are especially popular finishes,” Biscan says. “The look adds natural warmth, texture, and comfort to any design.”

While we’re used to seeing stone floors in kitchens and bathrooms, Biscan says the rising trend of «quiet luxury» means stone can be a look at works in bedrooms, too.
“Modern stone looks, like limestone and travertine, create a foundation for quiet luxury,” she says.
This is a style that works especially well in ranch-style homes, or anywhere with a more coastal aesthetic—especially if you're lucky enough to live somewhere where sand gets easily tracked into your various rooms.
