What Is a Saskatoon Serviceberry?Saskatoon serviceberry, Amelanchier alnifolia, is a flowering, fruit-bearing deciduous shrub, native to the northwest region of the United States and western Canada.
It grows wild in the northwestern part of the continent, extending from California up into Canada as far north as Alaska, and east to Minnesota and Ontario.
