Leave it to TikTok to provide another head-smacking, “Why didn’t I think of that?” indulgent recipe idea. If you love ice cream and your breakfast (or lunch and dinner) menu always features pancakes, you’ll want to try this deliciously-creative fusion being gobbled up on social media right now.

Each creator appears to have their own method of making these sweet flapjacks, but they all include two ingredients: ice cream (as you may have guessed) and self-rising flour.

In a video that's received 1.7 million views, @that40yearoldguy showed his 4 million followers how he whips up his ice cream pancakes (including a quick run to the Dollar Store for self-rising flour). With over 88,000 likes and 1,770 comments, it's clear the internet has a lot of love for the idea of combining breakfast and dessert.

Comments were unanimously enthusiastic. One user noted, “You can do that for French toast; apparently, all the high-end restaurants do it. Ice cream and an egg.”
