That’s why we were delighted to connect with three design powerhouses and learn what they predict we’ll see in 2024, plus their tips for how to make the most of these trends.

According to Beth Diana Smith, we can expect a whole host of blues to take center stage this year, from sky blue to deep indigo.
“Blues of all kinds will make a fresh reemergence in everything for the home—from lighting to furniture to decor,” Smith says. She feels blue is on everyone’s mind thanks to its sense of calmness and stability.
“Now more than ever, people are looking for at least one room or space in their home to feel peaceful and serene, and the color blue can do just that,” she says.

While any blue will do in 2024, Smith says she especially predicts statement pieces in the form of blue glass vases or resin boxes. This will allow people to play with smaller additions before diving all in on something as bold blue walls or a blue ceiling.
If you’re not sure you want everything entirely blue, Smith says it’s a color that pairs well with most others—but she loves it with other vibrant hues and gold fixtures for a glam pop.
