I SUSPECT I’m not alone when I say that weather extremes in recent growing seasons have made me feel a bit like a stranger in a strange land in my own garden, wondering what will bloom when and when to do what. And most of all, wondering what madness is coming next.
Frozen Candied Grapes Are the Snack I'm Bringing Back

Growing up, you would never see me without a popsicle in my hand in the summer (you will often still catch me eating popsicles after work). The frozen, fruity treat hit the spot every time on hot afternoons. I was (and still am) very loyal to Bomb Pops and pink freezies, so when I first heard of frozen candied grapes as a kid, I was skeptical. Could they possibly be as good as my tried-and-true popsicles? After one bite I knew my answer: Yes, yes they can.
After having frozen candied grapes in school for the first time, I was hooked. They're sweet, crunchy—the ideal summer snack for someone with a sweet tooth like me. Plus, they're super quick and easy to make, so they're perfect for getting the kids involved.
When I say this snack is simple, I mean it couldn't possibly get any more simple. All you need to make this snack is one box of blue raspberry Jell-O powder and a bunch of grapes (I prefer red grapes).
Start by picking the grapes off the stem and washing them in a colander under cool tap water. Gently shake the colander to get the excess water off and set aside. Next, pour one package of blue raspberry Jell-O powder into a bowl (I think the blue raspberry is the tastiest, but feel free to use your favorite flavor).
Begin gently rolling the grapes in the Jell-O powder. If the powder isn't sticking to the grapes, get them slightly wet and try rolling again. Once the grapes are covered in powder, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and pop them into the fridge or freezer for at least an hour before eating (or more like devouring).
If your hands are wet while rolling the grapes, the Jell-O powder might stain your fingers. To prevent this, stick a toothpick in the center of
