Orchids, treated with pesticides or weed killers, can be risky. So, while these flowers themselves aren’t toxic, the chemicals on them can pose a threat to cat’s health in the long run, if it keeps on nibbling the foliage and blooms.
Generally, orchids are not harmful, but they might cause a stomach ache. Look out for signs like vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or lethargy. Also, if your cat vomits – look for flowers or leaves in it.
If the symptoms don’t go away or get worse – it would be a good idea to call a vet.
